Tours & Itineraries: Going Beyond the Tasting Rooms
(Updated 08-18-2025)
Picture this: You’re relaxing on a patio with a glass of wine in your hand. You’re basking in the sweeping views of vineyards and forests, capped by Mount Hood in the distance. The smell of lavender gently swirls in the air as chirping birds and gentle chatter surround you. The stories you’ve heard from winemakers, owners, and their tasting room teams are rolling around in your head. You feel peaceful.
And… ready to explore more of the Dundee Hills? We hope so! Because wine tasting is just the beginning of the experiences you’ll find here. Check out the sample itinerary below for an adventure that will take you beyond traditional wine tasting experiences.
Briar Rose Creamery: Did you know we have an award-winning cheesemaker in our backyard? Located in the heart of the Willamette Valley wine country, Briar Rose Creamery creates handcrafted fresh and aged goat cheeses, aged cow’s milk cheeses, and more. Don’t miss their award-winning chocolate goat cheese truffles, available only at the farmstand. Check their website for hours.
Archery Summit and LucidWild Estate: Have you ever visited wine caves? Here’s your chance to go behind the scenes at Archery Summit and LucidWild Estate while you learn about their winemaking processes and enjoy a few of their estate wines.
Equestrian Wine Tours: Experience an entirely new view of the Dundee Hills on horseback as you explore the vineyards of the Dundee Hills on a guided wine tasting tour. The Tennessee Walking Horses offer a comfortable ride and memories you’ll never forget.
Red Ridge Farms: Visit the only Olioteca in Oregon on a guided tour of Durant Olive Mill. You’ll see the steps they take to craft award-winning extra virgin olive oil and will have the chance for an olive oil tasting in the Red Ridge Farms gift shop. Don’t forget to stop by the specialty plant nursery to take home a piece of the Dundee Hills to grow in your own garden!
Artist Block: The magical trifecta of tasting room, art gallery, and almost-cat café exists here. Sip and experience their unconventional takes on the wine varietals you know and love. Browse the art gallery of artist and proprietor, Anna Sweet. Enjoy the playful cuddles from the resident Bengal cats with leopard-printed coats who live in the tasting room: Andy Warhol, Edward and Jacob.
Red Hills Market + Woodshed Wine Company: Bring wine country home with you via the boutique and curated gift shops at Red Hills Market and Woodshed Wine Company.
Third Thursdays in Dundee: Celebrate community, creativity, and local flavor at Third Thursday, hosted monthly on the Third Thursday of the month, spring through fall. Stroll through the town’s walkable downtown to discover world-class wines and food, art demonstrations, live music, and handcrafted goods from local makers. This event is free for the public.
Harvey Creek Trail: Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy the Harvey Creek Trail, located in Dundee, which winds through forests and overlooks vineyards on a 1.6-mile adventure with stunning vistas and only moderate elevation gain.
Looking for something even more active than a hike? Reserve your spot at our annual Fueled by Fine Wine running events, which include a wine tasting event hosted afterward for participants. With a myriad of distances to choose from, there’s an excellent option for everyone (including those who want to skip the racing altogether and just join for the wine tasting).
