Press Recap: The Robb Report Highlights Dundee Hills White Wines

Mike DeSimone and Jeff Jenssen of The Robb Report discuss Oregon’s long history with Chardonnay as the primary white varietal, but note that the Willamette Valley is increasingly gaining attention for exceptional white Pinot Noir and traditional-method sparkling wines.

DeSimone and Jenssen note, “This means many of the finished wines will be clean, bright, and crisp with no oak aging. Producers who do choose to use barrels do so to enhance the fruit flavors and not overpower them, thus making elegant, restrained whites.”

Of the seven wines they recommended, four come from members of the Dundee Hills Winegrowers Association.
