Coppola Movie Night: The Rainmaker

Settle in for an intimate evening of film and wine as Domaine Lumineux transforms into a theater, complete with a big screen, rich sound, freshly popped popcorn, and just 18 seats.

On November 13, we’re screening Francis Ford Coppola’s The Rainmaker (1997), his adaptation of John Grisham’s bestselling legal thriller.

Matt Damon stars as Rudy Baylor, a young attorney who takes on a powerful insurance company after it denies coverage to a critically ill man. What begins as one family’s fight becomes a much larger courtroom battle over money, power, and accountability.

The film features an impressive ensemble cast including Danny DeVito, Claire Danes, Jon Voight, Mickey Rourke, and Danny Glover, balancing the tension of a legal drama with humor and a distinctly human story.

Each $25 ticket includes admission and freshly popped popcorn. Wine is available by the glass and bottle throughout the evening, and cheese and charcuterie boards may be pre-ordered when booking. Academy Wine Club members receive a complimentary glass of wine for up to four guests.

When booking, select the November 13 screening of The Rainmaker. Reservations are required.
