📽️ The Film: Moonrise Kingdom (2012), the offbeat and unforgettable coming-of-age story co-written by Roman Coppola and Wes Anderson, and directed in Anderson’s unmistakable style. Set on a fictional island in the summer of 1965, it follows two twelve-year-olds who fall in love and run away together—sparking a community-wide search and a string of quietly profound moments.

All at once whimsical, melancholy, and visually meticulous, Moonrise Kingdom is a perfect match for this month’s theme: Art, Music, and Imagination.
