2017 Furioso Vineyard Horizontal
2017 was a “perfect year” for growing Pinot Noir in the Willamette Valley’s famed Dundee Hills. It was a vintage that enjoyed enough sunshine – but not too much; enough rain during the summer – but not to much; and no rain at harvest, so no disease pressure at maturity. The running joke with Dundee Hills winemakers is “if you couldn’t make a decent Pinot in 2017, you might rethink your career choices – it doesn’t get any easier, only more difficult”.
We hope you enjoy this “return to better times” in the midst of this Covid-19 pandemic. Let these limited availability, estate grown and bottled wines take you back to a “Goldilocks vintage” in Oregon’s Dundee Hills.
2017 La Linea Pinot Noir
“This has a savory twist to the nose with earthy elements, woody notes, roses and stony minerally nuances, across bright red cherries. The palate has a neatly defined feel with very centrally focused fruit, in elegant style. Drink or hold.” 93pts – James Suckling
2017 L’Altra Pinot Noir
US Best Pinot Noirs 2019 – Wine and Spirits Magazine
“This has a very impressive and concentrated feel with such poise and purity, whilst delivering concentrated dark cherries in abundance. There’s a lot of wine here, all delivered with such impressive balance and style. Drink or hold.” 94pts – James Suckling
2017 Vincenzo Pinot Noir
“This has attractive purity and definition on both the nose and palate with red fruit that’s framed in light spices and rose-like perfume. The palate is neatly defined and delivers a fresh array of red cherries. Good poise here. Drink or hold.” 93pts – James Suckling
