The complexity, concentration, and balance found in great wine are site dependent. Nysa Vineyard is just such a site.
Complexity: Our fruit grows in a cool climate, at high elevation, and in soil of volcanic origin, allowing for complex flavors that extend to a lingering finish.
Concentration: We concentrate these layered flavors by keeping crop yields low in this densely planted, dry farmed site.
Balance: Our southeastern exposure keeps the sugar from rising too high before flavors mature. Our wines balance ripe fruit with sufficient acid, allowing for extended cellaring and accompaniment with robust foods.
