Meet the Members: Holloran Vineyard Wines

When Bill and Eve moved into the Portland-area in 1999, they purchased a heritage vineyard on Worden Hill Road in Dundee as well as a parcel of land in the Eola-Amity Hills, and crafted their first vintages in a converted horse barn on their West Linn property on Pete’s Mountain. Today, nearly 25-years later, it’s an entirely different story. Proud owners of three vineyard sites, a new winery and tasting room, and significantly increased case production, Holloran Vineyard Wines is cemented into the Dundee Hills AVA.

Bill believes exceptional wine begins with high-quality farming techniques, and is a passionate proponent of sustainable farming practices. “The roots of our vines run deep and produce complex and prolific fruit,” says Bill. “We believe that our organic and biodynamic practices are major contributing factors to the ongoing health of our vines as well as the character of our wine varietals.”

Holloran Vineyard Wines follows Old World traditions with early harvesting, gentle fermentations, and their top barrel aged Pinot Noir seeing 18-months of barrel time. Rather than focusing on extracting bigger flavors, they want the unique and complex characteristics – the terroir – to be reflected in each vintage.
