2018 Pinot Noir Tasting Notes

Red cherry and cranberry driven on the nose with supporting aromas of milk chocolate and cola. The palate gives flavors of baked red cherry pie, red licorice and a touch of clove.

“By and large, the 2018 Pinots from the Willamette Valley show lush fruit and midpalate power, and this is no exception. The aromas conjure up rose petals and pie cherries, while the flavors solidify in a firm palate with supporting acids and toasty, lightly chalky tannins. It’s full-bodied, somewhat blocky, but a quite delicious wine that will respond well to aeration and/or further bottle age.” Paul Gregutt Wine Enthusiast April 2022

“Pretty and bright red in the glass, this smells of red berries with tobacco leaf adding a hint of savor. The flavors are more strawberry and cherry, with the energy and lift for Parisian ham.” 91 points. Wine & Spirits

2019 Pinot Blanc Reserve Tasting Notes

This Pinot Blanc is fermented and aged in French oak barrels for a full body style white wine. The nose showcases aromas of pear, melon, vanilla and a slight hint of cardamom. The palate starts off soft and opens up with flavors of apple, pear and melon with hints of vanilla. The finish is long and smooth with mouthwatering acidity, and slight dryness from soft tannins.

Reviews

“Tangy and concentrated flavors of pineapple with citrus highlights dominate here. The wine punches down through the palate with precision and power. Fermented and aged in French oak puncheons, it nonetheless keeps the emphasis on good clean fruit.” 91 points. Paul Gregutt. Wine Enthusiast 4/1/2022

90 International Wine Report
“Handpicked and pressed whole cluster, it is then moved to neutral French oak barrels for fermentation and aging. Ripe yellow apple, fresh pineapple, and luscious nectarine flavors work well with the hint of white mushroom and herbaceousness of the wine. The mouthfeel is rich and decadent but balanced with the medium-high acidity.” 90 points. Jeremy Young, International Wine Report
